The Information Technology Technical Assistance & Training Center (ITTATC)
Announces
An Audio Conference on July 21, 2004 from 1-3 PM ET

Speaking Out About Inaccessible Information and Telecommunication Technology

To commemorate the 14th anniversary of the passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), we invite you to participate in an event that will help people with disabilities voice their need for more accessible information and telecommunication technology.

At this free event, which will be both educational and action-oriented, a panel of experts will describe how the ADA and other federal laws and regulations apply to inaccessible technology, and how to use those laws to complain when inaccessible information and telecommunication technology is encountered in the marketplace or the workplace. Consumers will be encouraged to take action during the hands-on portion of the event by working with the local host site facilitators and the experts to generate letters of complaint, which will be forwarded on to the appropriate organizations.
