Clearly, these initiatives present a significant opportunity to enhance the lives of people with disabilities; a growing population, who, according to the 2000 census, represent 19% of the population (21 - 64 years). The Information Technology Technical Assistance and Training Center (ITTATC) has conducted a study to gain a better sense of what the states are doing to promote E&IT accessibility.
